• SEA Restaurant, Anantara Kihavah Villas, Maldives

When it opens, the island shall include 225 acres and is also surrounded by a 5,000-acre lagoon for snorkeling, exploring and diving. Poseidon Undersea Resort, Fiji Poseidon Undersea Resort is the first seafloor resort in the world.

Poseidon Undersea Resorts was a proposed chain of underwater five-star resorts that was first slated to open by September 2008. The first was to be located on a private island in Fiji. The project was to be the world’s first permanent one-atmosphere seafloor structure.

• Jules’ Undersea Lodge, Key Largo Undersea Area, Florida

It is an underwater lodge. The only path to gain access to the hotel is by scuba diving. Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving in which a scuba diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus called scuba to breathe underwater. Located in the key area of Largo Lagoon, this is world’s first complete underwater hotel.

It’s the world’s only underwater hotel, where guests can stay overnight for £500 for two – and that includes a Papa John’s pizza for dinner.

To reach the lodge, which started life as a research laboratory, guests have to scuba 21ft down into the sea, which is brimming with reef fish, tropical angel fish, snappers and barracuda.
